Fullstack Developer

Job summary

A fast-moving AI startup hiring a Fullstack Developer (Node.js, TypeScript, React) to build core features, ship fast, and work directly with the founders on our AI-driven platform. You’ll work directly with the founders to design and build new features in our AI-driven platform. This is a role for a builder: someone who enjoys taking ownership, shipping fast, and solving real product problems end-to-end.

Job descriptions \& requirements

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain full-stack features in an existing, semi-mature product

Build and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices in Node.js + TypeScript, connected to a React frontend

Work with LLMs, embeddings, and vector databases to create AI features (semantic search, recommendations, chat-style tools)

Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code

Collaborate with product and design to create logical UX flows (functionality over pixel-perfection)

Take part in technical discussions and contribute ideas to improve architecture and code quality

What You Won’t Do

DevOps / Infrastructure (AWS infra, CI/CD pipelines, deployment pipelines)

Visual UI/UX design (we prioritise functional UX, not pixel-perfect design)

Requirements:

Strong experience with TypeScript, React, and Node.js

Familiarity with SQL and relational database design

Experience building REST APIs and connecting them to frontends

Understanding of LLMs, embeddings, and vector similarity search

Able to work independently and communicate clearly in English

Working knowledge of AWS Lambda, SQS, S3, and Step Functions (Preferred)

Nice to Have

Experience with CI/CD or DevOps

Familiarity with vector databases and vector metrics

Previous startup or small-team experience
