We are looking for a
Data Engineer
to join a leading pharmaceutical company in Belgium. This organization plays a crucial role in both generic medicines and innovative healthcare products, continuously investing in growth and innovation.
Your Role
As a Data Engineer, you will design and maintain end-to-end data pipelines, ensuring that departments such as Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain have the right data at the right time. You will translate complex business needs into technical solutions, develop dashboards and reports, and automate repetitive processes to drive efficiency.
Responsibilities
Design, build, test, and maintain data pipelines (ingestion, processing, analysis, and visualization)
Take full ownership of your data projects
Collaborate with various departments to translate their needs into technical solutions and user-friendly BI tools
Transform data into visually appealing and insightful dashboards and reports
Drive innovation and automation to minimize manual processes
Safeguard data quality and ensure reliable master data
Profile
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
Experience with SQL servers, data warehousing, and cloud platforms (Azure, Snowflake)
Strong knowledge of data modeling (star schema) and cloud architecture
Familiar with tools such as Azure Data Factory, Azure DevOps, and Power BI
Skilled in SQL and integration in ELT solutions
Able to work with multiple data sources: databases, APIs, SharePoint, JSON, csv/Excel
Experience combining data from multiple systems into a single trusted source
Understanding of master data management and data quality principles
Knowledge of Databricks and Airflow is a plus
Experience with SAP or MS Dynamics 365 is an advantage
Proactive, entrepreneurial, and capable of turning ideas into tangible results
Curious about new technologies and eager to continuously learn
Fluent in Dutch, French, and English
