Product Owner – Iterative Agile (Multi‑Product Portfolio)
Role Overview
The Product Owner (PO) is responsible for maximizing the value delivered by one or more product teams through clear vision, iterative planning, and data‑driven prioritization. This role supports
multiple products
within a shared portfolio, ensuring each product’s roadmap aligns with organizational strategy and customer needs. The PO works closely with stakeholders, Scrum Masters, and cross-functional development teams to deliver high‑quality, incremental releases using Agile best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy \& Vision
Define, maintain, and communicate a clear product vision across multiple products.
Develop and prioritize product roadmaps using iterative release planning.
Align product goals with business objectives, stakeholder input, and resource constraints.
Conduct competitive analysis and market validation to shape product direction.
Backlog Ownership
Own, refine, and prioritize Product Backlogs for each product.
Break down high-level features into actionable, well‑defined user stories with acceptance criteria.
Continuously groom the backlog based on user feedback, analytics, and technical insight.
Ensure backlog items are transparent, visible, and understood by the team.
** Agile Delivery \& Iterative Execution**
Collaborate with Agile teams during Sprint Planning, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
Clarify requirements, remove ambiguity, and provide timely decisions to support developers.
Evaluate and accept/reject completed work based on quality and acceptance criteria.
Apply iterative delivery principles, learning quickly from user feedback and adapting scope accordingly.
Stakeholder \& Cross-Functional Collaboration
Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and development teams.
Facilitate alignment across engineering, UX, QA, marketing, operations, and leadership.
Communicate roadmap changes, release timelines, and product performance transparently.
Manage competing priorities across multiple product domains.
Customer \& Value Focus
Advocate for customer needs using research, interviews, support data, and analytics.
Measure and evaluate product success using KPIs, OKRs, and iterative value checkpoints.
Drive continuous improvement guided by real-world user outcomes.
Portfolio \& Multi‑Product Management
Balance priorities, capacity, and dependencies across multiple product teams.
Coordinate inter-product integration points, risks, and cross-team impacts.
Ensure consistent standards and processes across the product portfolio.
Support long‑term portfolio planning and release coordination.
Required Skills \& Qualifications
Proven experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role.
Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and iterative delivery.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple products or complex product lines.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog artifacts.
Data-driven mindset with experience using product analytics tools.
Ability to make decisions quickly in high‑ambiguity environments.
Preferred Qualifications
Certification(s): CSPO, PSPO, SAFe PO/PM, or equivalent.
Experience working with distributed teams or multi-team Agile environments.
Background in UX, software engineering, or business analysis.
Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and modern product delivery tooling.
