Job Description

A pharmaceutical and nutraceutical machinery supplier and contract stability storage facility requires a full-time Chemistry Technician with minimum 2 years work experience to coordinate stability studies and other laboratory tasks in their Auckland facility.

Job title

Chemistry Technician

Hourly pay rate: between NZD 33.56/hour to 34.00/hour

Hours of work: 40 hours per week

Location: Auckland, New Zealand may need to travel to Kaiapoi, Canterbury, New Zealand office , once in six months

Qualifications:

A bachelor degree in Science majoring in Chemistry, or an equivalent tertiary qualification.

Experience:

About 2- 3 years of work experience in a laboratory (or science facility).

Preferred experience:

Work on stability chambers manufactured by Newtronic, or stability chambers of a similar make.

Key job skills

Should be able to:

Perform physical and chemical studies on pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and dairy products.

Manage stability storage samples

Perform calibrations and validations on stability chambers and other measurement equipment

Analyse chamber data and prepare reports

Preferred technical skills:

Should be conversant with softwares ICDAS 2.1 and 3.1

Should be able to use Microsoft 365 softwares - Excel and Sharepoint

Preferred soft skills:

Excellent organsational skills

Good data management

Good problem-solving skills

A can-do attitude

Job responsibilities

Perform laboratory studies on customer samples

Coordinate stability studies

Perform annual calibration and monthly validation of temperature and humidity measurement equipment

Analyse chamber data and prepare reports

Assist stability manager to prepare stability study data monitoring reports

Other requirements:

to be able to work in New Zealand.
