About the Role

As a Senior Technical Product Manager, you will own the strategy, execution, and evolution of complex, technical products that sit at the intersection of engineering, business, and user needs. You will translate ambiguous problems into clear product direction, balancing customer value, technical feasibility, and long-term scalability.
This role partners closely with Engineering, Design, Data, and cross-functional stakeholders to define product vision, prioritize roadmaps, and deliver high-impact solutions. You’ll work deeply with technical teams, understanding system architecture, APIs, data flows, and trade-offs, while keeping a strong focus on outcomes, usability, and business impact.
The ideal candidate is equally comfortable zooming out to shape product strategy and diving into the details to unblock teams, make informed decisions, and ship reliably. You are a strong communicator, a pragmatic decision-maker, and a trusted product leader who can navigate complexity and drive alignment across teams.
What You'll Own/Do:
Product Strategy \& Planning:
Collaborate with stakeholders to craft a product vision that aligns with overarching business objectives, ensuring clarity and direction in product development.
Translate business requirements into clear product specifications.
Solve customer pain points with innovative, practical solutions.
Technical Leadership:
Act as a crucial link between engineering teams and other departments, the PM will ensure that engineering efforts meet requirements, fostering effective communication and cooperation
Managing roadmaps: develop and maintain product roadmaps by prioritising features based on both technical feasibility and market demand
Lifecycle Management:
Manage the entire product lifecycle from concept to launch and iteration.
Ensure timely delivery aligned with business goals and customer needs.
Collaboration:
Act as the bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and alignment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and customer success, to drive product success.
What We Require for this Role:
Technical Proficiency: A robust understanding of software development processes, programming languages, and technical architecture is crucial
Delegation Skills: Effective delegation is crucial for technical project managers to assign tasks and responsibilities within cross-functional teams, ensuring that all team members are empowered to contribute to the product’s success.
8+ years of experience in software development, technical product management, or a combination of both.
Strong technical background with hands-on experience in backend system design and scalable cloud architectures.
Proficiency in creating detailed technical documentation and diagrams (e.g., UML).
Knowledge of development practices, including waterfall \& agile methodologies.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven mindset.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Highly self-motivated and capable of working in a global, multicultural environment.
Bonus Points for Candidates Who Have:
Video Streaming: Experience with live or VOD video streaming platforms.
Multimedia: Familiarity with multimedia codecs (AVC, HEVC, VP9) and DRM systems (PlayReady, Widevine).
Technology: Knowledge of Kotlin, C++, and blockchain/Web3 technologies.
Top-Tier Education: You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from a 4-yr accredited institution globally ranked in the top 500 universities.

The Pay Range For This Role Is:
$115,000 - $130,000 CAD per year (Vancouver)
