Lead Systems Architect for US based Cyber Company
National Security and Signals Platform
About The Role We are building a production bound, government focused signals and wireless intelligence platform
This role is for a senior architect who has already designed and shipped complex systems where correctness, defensibility, and trust mattered more than speed or hype.
You will own the end to end technical architecture
What You Will Do
Own the overall system architecture from data acquisition through analysis, reporting, and deployment
Design system
Define trust boundaries, access controls, provenance, and chain of custody at the architectural level
Translate real world operational needs into defensible technical designs
Set technical standards for security, reliability, and compliance
Evaluate and reject technically clever ideas that introduce legal, ethical, or operational risk
Guide senior engineers across RF, data, and analytics domains
Serve as final technical authority prior to pilots, deployments, or customer demonstrations
You are not expected to write most of the code. You are expected to ensure the right code exists for the right reasons.
What we are looking for
Required experience
12+ years designing and delivering production systems in defense, intelligence, regulated telecom, or similarly constrained environments
Prior ownership of system architecture used by government or quasi government operators
Technical strengths
Distributed systems architecture and data flow design
Auditability, logging, and evidentiary integrity by design
Ability to reason about wireless, networked, or sensor derived data at a system level
Comfort spanning hardware, firmware, software, and operational workflows
You do not need to be a deep RF specialist or cryptographer, but you must be fluent enough to make correct architectural decisions and challenge assumptions.
How you think
We care as much about judgment as technical skill.
You should be someone who:
Asks who the operator is and what authority they have before designing a feature
Thinks in failure modes and misuse cases, not just happy paths
Pushes back on unrealistic timelines or claims
Prioritizes long term trust over short term demos
Is comfortable saying no when necessary
What you will explicitly own
System architecture and technical roadmap
Architectural compliance and risk guardrails
Integration strategy across signals, data, and analytics layers
Technical hiring standards and architectural review
Final technical sign off for production readiness
We are building serious infrastructure for serious customers.
Qualifications
Ability to operate in environments requiring discretion and professionalism
Why this role matters
The architecture decisions made here will determine:
What the system can and cannot do
Whether it is trusted by customers
Whether it becomes a durable national security capability
This is a foundational role with real authority and long term impact.
Compensation
Competitive senior level compensation with meaningful long term alignment. We do not compete on being cheap. We compete on building something that lasts.
