We launched our new product in 2024 and already have 150k+ accounts on which weâve processed more than 300 million euros.We're now looking for an experienced Lead Backend Engineer to lead our backend efforts â someone ambitious to grow, who codes daily, leads by example, and helps scale both tech and people.
Tasks
đ§ What Youâll Do
Be 100% hands-on:
Build, maintain, and scale backend systems in
Python/Django
.
Design architecture:
Own backend
architecture
decisions, collaborating closely with our infra and security teams.
Manage infrastructure:
Work comfortably with
AWS
, especially RDS, ECS, and Kafka/MSK.
Lead \& mentor:
Guide a growing team of backend engineers through mentorship, technical leadership, and hiring.
Own your scope:
Take full responsibility for projects â from design to deployment â with autonomy and accountability.

Requirements â What Weâre Looking For
Youâve been the
go-to backend expert for 8+ years
, leading projects, owning architecture, and shipping code in
scale-up
environments
Proven experience as
Lead / Staff / Principal
level
Deep expertise in
Python
and
Django
â youâve built and shipped impactful products
Comfortable with
AWS
and containerized infrastructure
Experience in
team leadership
â youâve mentored others and led by example
Ownership mindset, proactive attitude, and strong problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills in English
Bonus: experience or interest in
AI development platforms
like Cursor
