Deine Aufgaben

We are looking for someone who:

Builds production-grade data infrastructure.

You design, build, and maintain robust and scalable data models with dbt and Snowflake that serve as the foundation for analyses and business-critical decisions.

Translates business logic into data flows.

You work closely with Product, Data, and Engineering teams to encode core KPIs and business requirements into the backend. You understand how to transform complex healthcare workflows into clean, tested, and analysable datasets that become the working foundation for our business analysts.

Enables self-service analytics.

You deliver well-structured datasets that empower non-technical users to access, explore, and act on data independently. You create transparency and clarity in a fast-growing, dynamic environment.

Optimizes continuously.

You constantly seek opportunities to optimize data processes and workflows for efficiency and scalability. You actively shape the expansion of our modern analytics stack (Snowflake, dbt, Power BI) and bring fresh impulses for performance improvements.

Ensures quality and governance.

You implement best practices in data testing, validation, and performance tuning through dbt. You own the documentation of metric definitions, data models, and dependencies, creating a reliable knowledge base and audit trail. You automate data-driven processes to make them efficient, reliable, and future-proof.

Thinks architecturally.

You understand medallion architectures, data governance layers, and how to migrate legacy structures while maintaining backward compatibility. You're comfortable working with complex stakeholder dependencies \& know how to bring order to chaos (it's not all chaos, but you get the point).

Champions data quality in healthcare.

You understand that in healthcare, data quality isn't just a technical concern—it's about patient safety and regulatory compliance (GDPR, medical data retention). You design with PII security and audit requirements in mind.

Thrives in a lean, collaborative team.

You'll join a tight-knit team. Your primary focus is analytics engineering and dbt modeling, but you'll work together with our Senior Data Engineer on the data pipeline layer. This means being comfortable reading, debugging, and occasionally writing Python Lambda functions for ETL processes. In a team this size, flexibility and willingness to help where needed is essential.

Dein Profil

Deep data modeling expertise.

You have extensive experience in data modeling, ideally with tools like dbt—and place value on testing, documentation, and sustainable maintainability. You understand dimensional modeling, slowly changing dimensions, and how to design for both transactional and analytical workloads.

SQL is your native language.

You master complex queries, optimize performance, and know how to efficiently process large data volumes in Snowflake.

Python proficiency.

You're comfortable writing Python for data transformation and processing. You can build, debug, and maintain ETL logic using Python.

DevOps mindset for analytics.

You understand and work with version control, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and infrastructure-as-code. You are familiar with at least one cloud platform.

Stakeholder-centric problem solver.

You genuinely want to understand the business domain before implementing solutions. You communicate exceptionally well and can translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences. Fluent English is required; German is a plus.

Comfortable with ambiguity and autonomy.

You don't need hand-holding or detailed tickets. You can take a business problem, figure out what needs to happen, and make it happen. You're self-directed but know when to ask for help or alignment.
