Position Overview
We are seeking an Experienced Product Support Engineering Manager to lead our Product Support Capability. This role involves integrating a team of engineers and specialists to develop, deliver, and maintain Product Technical and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) products and services. You will coordinate customer Product Support requests and responses while ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Lead an integrated team of Product Support engineers and specialists
Serve as the organisational interface and `Product Support hub' between IPL Customer Programs and IPL capabilities.
Coordinate task prioritisation balancing stakeholder, contractual, and strategic priorities.
Directly interact with technical staff from key strategic customers, including Defence customers from the Asia Pacific region.
Manage work across the Product Support Team, including day-to-day tasking and prioritization.
Analyse and resolve customer support issues for existing fielded products.
Review and approve production, modification, repair, and maintenance instructions.
Assist with the development and execution of Product Support and technical elements of internal business cases and external customer proposals.
Qualifications
Essential
Degree in systems, electrical, electronic, communications, computer engineering, aerospace, or related discipline.
Understanding of key Systems Engineering, Product Support, and Continuing Airworthiness principles.
Demonstrated experience in team management and technical project methodologies (e.g., scrum/agile).
Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Availability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
Desirable
Experience in a Sustainment Program Office (SPO) within the Australian Department of Defence.
Advanced expertise in unmanned systems and related technology areas.
Understanding of sustainment support activities and ILS Engineering.
