Job Title: Catering Assistant-Coffee Dock
Reports to: Catering Manager
Location: Bon Secours, Dublin
Job Purpose
To ensure a quality customer service in the new Day ward coffee shop. The fundamental philosophy guiding this position is to promote and preserve the Bon Secours Mission, Values and Ethos.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:* Preparing and serving hot and cold beverages, such as coffee, teas, artisan and speciality coffees.
Cashier in the coffee dock, ensuring reads on till are completed mid morning and evening.
Cleaning and sanitising work area, utensils and equipment.
Cleaning service and seating area.
Serving customers, taken of orders, ensuring excellent product knowledge and Allergan’s information .
Ensuring stock control of coffee dock food items ensuring main kitchen is given adequate notice to replenish items when required.
Monitor and control all fridge temperatures, ensure all HCCP controls are in place.
Deal with any small complaints in a timely manner, and report any unresolved to supervisor immediately.
Report any hazards or faults.
Ensure weekly orders are carried out.
Any additional duties that may be asked to carry out
Physical Skills:* Loading food / stock (on tables, counters, shelves and to/from delivery trolleys) and moving trollies
Physical Demands:* Food trollies must be moved/manoeuvred by two persons at all times i.e., a person must be positioned at the front and the rear of the trolley. Under no circumstances should one person shove, push or pull a food trolley on their own.

Essential Experience
Barista experience
2 years catering experience
HACCP knowledge desirable but not essential
Essential Skills
Conscientious, flexible with a ‘can do’ attitude
Teamworking and good organisational ability
Courteous, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality is essential
Ability to work under pressure and be adaptable
