About the Role
We’re seeking a dynamic Junior Pottery Product Manager to assist with the sourcing, development, and management of innovative pottery products for the Independent Garden Center channel. You'll collaborate closely with cross\-functional teams—sales, marketing, and leadership—to bring trend\-forward, high\-quality products to market. Key Responsibilities
Source and develop assortments including indoor ceramics, fountains, lightweight pottery, terracotta, and accessories.
Build and manage vendor relationships to create proprietary and exclusive product lines.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery expectations with international suppliers.
Oversee the full product development lifecycle—sampling, catalog prep, and showroom execution.
Establish and execute sourcing strategies to enhance cost\-efficiency, quality, and supply reliability.
Implement supplier performance metrics and conduct regular reviews.
Drive continuous improvements in cost, inventory, lead time, and quality.
Support the catalog development process by collaborating with design and print vendors.
Partner with demand planning and sales teams to ensure optimal product availability and performance.
Attend international trade shows and factories to stay ahead of market trends and discover new sourcing opportunities.
Requirements
Proven experience in product sourcing and supplier management.
Excellent Excel skills and data management.
Knowledge of import procedures and documentation.
General knowledge of product costing methods and general accounting principals
Strong organizational and negotiation skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration with cross\-functional teams.
Familiarity with the lawn \& garden or gift industry is a plus.
Willingness and ability to travel up to 15%.
