Join a forward-thinking IT team dedicated to building a secure, scalable, and future-ready data environment. We are seeking a high-calibre BI Analyst with a deep passion for Data Analytics. If you are an expert at uncovering the "why" behind the numbers, transforming complex datasets into state-of-the-art visual stories, and have a strong grasp of modern analytical workflows, we want to meet you.
About the Role:
As a BI Analyst, you will be the bridge between raw data and strategic action. Your primary focus is to design and deliver high-performance analytical solutions that empower decision-makers. You will work closely with the Head of IT, data engineers, and business stakeholders to translate vague business questions into precise, data-driven answers. You will ensure that our dashboards aren't just "visuals" but are robust analytical tools built with integrity and scalability.
The ideal candidate already holds the Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate certification and can link it to our BOS organizational account in Microsoft Learn
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that drive business value.
· Implement advanced data models for time-series forecasting and trend analysis, helping the business anticipate market shifts and operational needs.
· Build and maintain complex semantic models using DAX and Power Query (M). You will be responsible for creating sophisticated measures that reflect complex business logic.
· Design premium, user-centric reports that provide intuitive UX and deep drill-down capabilities for multifaceted business analysis.
· Connect and transform disparate data sources (SQL Server, MS Dynamics, Web APIs) into a unified, analytical "Single Source of Truth."
· Act as a strategic partner to business leaders, translating technical findings into clear, non-technical insights and actionable recommendations.
· Leverage Microsoft Copilot Studio to design and deploy intelligent agents that allow stakeholders to query BI data models using natural language.
· Implement and manage BI deployment pipelines using Git integration to ensure version control, peer review, and stable production releases.
· Data accuracy and consistency through rigorous validation, documentation of KPI definitions, and implementation of Row-Level Security (RLS).
What We Offer:
· Contractual, part-time engagement with flexible working arrangements.
· A modern IT landscape leveraging Microsoft Fabric, MS Dynamics, MS365, Azure Cloud, and Power Platform.
· Opportunities to contribute to impactful, data driven initiatives.
· A workplace that encourages experimentation with the latest AI and data modelling techniques.
· Mentorship from senior IT leadership.
· Exposure cross functional analytics work and strategic BI initiatives.
· A supportive, collaborative, and international team of culture.
Qualifications:
· Proven experience as a BI Analyst or in a similar analytics role.
· Strong, hands-on expertise in Power BI (mandatory), Tableau, SQL, and BI data modeling.
· Mandatory Certification: Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate, with the ability to link the certification to the BOS Microsoft Learn account.
· Experience designing dashboards, KPIs, and reporting logic for multiple business units.
· Solid understanding of DAX, data modeling, and ETL/ELT concepts.
· Familiarity with governance, documentation, and data quality practices.
· Ability to work independently in a remote/offshore environment.
· A self-driven enthusiast for emerging tech (GenAI, AutoML, Fabric) who stays current with industry shifts.
· Partner with business leaders to move from "descriptive" to "prescriptive" analytics, providing actionable insights derived from AI-enhanced datasets.
· Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot Studio for building data-connected AI agents.
· Standardized reporting structures supporting business decision-making.
Key Deliverables
· Enterprise data architecture blueprint aligned with business strategy.
· Governed data model with lineage and metadata catalog.
· Operational data pipelines with monitoring and quality checks.
· Documentation of data governance policies and lifecycle processes.
