Position Description:

We are looking for a talented and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team. Bridgenext is seeking DevOps Engineer who will be expected to work autonomously and contribute to several high-impact projects including architecting the data pipeline infrastructure to support our customer's data needs.

You will be working in CST business hours. You will be part of team which will have on-call duties outside CST business hours as well and you would need to respond to high-priority incident pager.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:* Coordinate with cross-functional teams across multiple time zones to manage releases and deployments using ArgoCD across various environments

Ensure compliance with SDLC processes, providing regular updates on release status, process violations, and deviations

Mentor teams on DevOps best practices, identifying deployment risks, log anomalies, inefficiencies in deployment scripts, and gaps in release processes

Facilitate communication between engineering, operations, and QA teams, ensuring smooth and standardized deployment workflows

Continuously monitor deployment health using logging tools and provide proactive updates to stakeholders

Troubleshoot deployment failures, misconfigurations, and ArgoCD sync errors, collaborating with teams to resolve issues efficiently

Optimize CI/CD pipelines, automating deployment processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention

Assist in provisioning and maintaining infrastructure, ensuring system reliability and scalability

Document deployment procedures, troubleshooting steps, and best practices to enhance team knowledge sharing and process improvement

Workplace: Remote in Canada Must Have Skills:* At least 5 years of experience working as a DevOps engineer, preferably in Azure environment

At least 1 Year of hands-on experience with ArgoCD, including managing application syncs, deployments to UAT and Production environments, rollbacks, and issue resolution

Strong understanding of release coordination in a multi-team environment

Ability to identify and escalate process violations/deviations, last-minute build changes, or deployment risks, maintaining JIRA records for deployment activities

Familiarity with Helm charts, Kustomize, or Kubernetes manifests used in ArgoCD-managed deployments

Strong communication and coordination skills to work effectively with engineering teams

Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Datadog, Splunk, Prometheus, New Relic) for tracking deployment health

Experience in Provisioning and configuring new environments for SaaS clients

Troubleshoot deployment issues, collaborating with teams to resolve failures, misconfigurations, and ArgoCD sync errors

Advocate for process improvements and tooling enhancements related to deployments, ensuring alignment across teams

Preferred Skills:* Experience with the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) is a plus

Exposure working on other deployment utilities based on helm is a plus

Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Bridgenext provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired as described above. The current pay range for this position is $60 to $70 hourly.
