Location: Mainly remote with travel to client site once per sprint (Newcastle)

We are seeking a skilled Software Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications that meet the needs of our clients. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions within an agile environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and deploy high-quality software solutions using the specified tech stack.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to define requirements and create innovative solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to team standards and best practises.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance development processes.
Tech Stack/Skills Required:
- Proficient in Java and Springboot for backend development.
- Experience with Node.js for building scalable applications.
- Familiarity with Docker for containerization of applications.
- Knowledge of AWS for cloud-based services.
- Strong understanding of Government Digital Service (GDS) standards.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Software Developer or similar role.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
