About the Assignment
Our client is embarking on a strategic initiative to centralize and streamline their data landscape. Your mission? To design and implement a
reliable, auditable, and scalable data warehouse layer
that integrates fragmented data sources, reduces manual processes, and accelerates reporting in
Power BI
.
You will lay the foundation for a
Minimum Viable Product (MVP)
on
AWS
, delivering immediate business value while ensuring scalability for future growth.
Your Key Responsibilities
Architect and implement
a vendor-neutral data warehouse on
AWS
using services such as
S3, Glue, Lake Formation, and Redshift Serverless
.
Integrate multiple data sources
, including MariaDB, STIP/KNOX, PostgreSQL, and ABN/Calastone.
Design and build three data layers
: Raw, Curated, and Semantic.
Set up
monitoring, data lineage, exception handling, and logging
for full transparency.
Implement
data quality checks
and governance standards.
Configure
Power BI integrations
for optimized reporting.
Document
data contracts, acceptance criteria, and operational runbooks
.
Ensure a smooth
handover to internal engineers and administrators
.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience with
AWS data services
(S3, Glue, Redshift, Lake Formation).
Strong knowledge of
ETL processes, data modeling, and data governance frameworks
.
Hands-on experience building
data pipelines
and working with
semantic layers
.
Familiarity with
Power BI
and performance optimization for dashboards and reports.
Excellent
communication and stakeholder management skills
, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and drive structured approaches.
