Intern, Data Platform Engineer

ADVANTAGES OF TAKING THIS INTERNSHIP

Gain hands-on experience in building and maintaining scalable data pipelines and ELT processes.

Learn best practices in data modeling, warehousing, and architecture for enterprise-level solutions.

Build problem-solving and analytical skills by troubleshooting complex data issues in real-world scenarios.

Understand the end-to-end data product lifecycle, from exploration to development and deployment.

INTERN’S ROLE

Design, develop, implement and support robust ELT data pipeline solutions.

Coordinate activities with multiple development teams to achieve delivery objectives.

Provide support in requirements definitions, estimations, development and delivery of robust and scalable solutions

Explore, evaluate and prototype new data technologies, Snowflake features, and ecosystem tools.

Conduct proof of concepts to validate emerging technologies or new approaches for ingestion, transformation, orchestration, governance, and automation.

Build integrations with APIs from external providers such as Google,

Write technical documentation to ensure future maintainability of the code, training and adoption of the solutions.

Adhere to industry standards and laws such as GDPR and SOX.

Be an ambassador in best-practices definition and creative thinking.

PROFILE REQUIRED

Experience on following technologies is an advantage:

Snowflake

DBT

Microsoft SQL Server

Power BI

Git

Fluent in various programming languages such as the following is an advantage:

SQL

Knowledge of one programming language such as (Python, Java, Javascript, etc)

Experience in using cloud BI technologies such as Azure or similar is an advantage.

Experience in translating business requirements into advanced data models able to fulfill analysts and data scientists requirements is an advantage.

Experience in working within an agile team is an advantage.

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PPT or equivalents.

Self-motivated and able to work independently.

Capable of prioritizing multiple tasks while still achieving deadlines.

Excellent written and oral communication skills with a strong ability to connect the dots.

Detail-oriented person who is passionate about quality and enthusiastic about new technology.

Fluent English, spoken and written. French preferred as well.
