As we continue to invest heavily in AI-powered product innovation, we’re looking for a Lead .NET Developer – AI Solutions to play a key role in shaping and delivering the next generation of intelligent capabilities across our platform.

The Opportunity

This is a true hands-on senior engineering role where you’ll lead the design and delivery of AI-driven product solutions, working closely with Product Managers, Designers, and fellow Engineers.

You’ll take ideas from concept through to production and apply modern AI technologies—including LLMs, machine learning models, and retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG)—to solve real customer problems.

While this role does not have direct reports, it carries strong technical leadership expectations: mentoring others, uplifting team capability, and helping define best practices for AI within Buildxact.

What you’ll be doing

Design, build, and deliver new product solutions with a strong focus on AI and machine learning

Lead the implementation of AI capabilities, including LLMs, prompt/context engineering, RAG, and model evaluation

Partner with Product Managers to explore what’s possible with AI and translate ideas into scalable solutions

Define and maintain test harnesses to assess AI output quality and compare models

Contribute to the evolution of Buildxact’s .NET-based product architecture

Ensure high-quality delivery through strong testing practices (automated and manual)

Share knowledge, mentor engineers, and uplift AI capability across the development team

Stay current with the rapidly evolving AI and LLM ecosystem and bring learnings back to the team

You’ll thrive if you have:* 7+ years of experience as a software engineer using .NET framework in delivering and building full-stack products in a SaaS, cloud-first environment, with a strong track record of ownership and technical leadership

Proven experience in integrating LLMs and machine learning into production systems

Proven capability in prompt and context engineering, with an iterative, quality‑driven approach

Deep expertise in C#, ASP.NET Core, EF Core, and the .NET ecosystem (Semantic Kernel, MCP, or Microsoft Agent Framework highly regarded)

Experience with Azure or strong motivation to learn and adopt it quickly

Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g. Claude Code, Cursor) and their practical use

Experience in technologies such as Angular, TypeScript, Flutter, GraphQL/HotChocolate, or vision models (e.g. Roboflow) would be desirable.
