Position Overview:

The Application Engineer, Order Management Systems will be responsible for guiding, building, and managing the retail and commercial order management systems and platforms, enabling modernized solutions to facilitate consistent and improved development and deployment that run independently by the technology and business teams.

Additionally, the Application Engineer for Order Management Systems will support the configurations, solution designs of applications and modules, which are easily maintained and modified by the end users. This individual will collaborate with internal and external teams, while communicating cross functionally with developer, champions, and partners, achieving agile and progressive goals and measures to delivery seamless experiences to the users across various business functions. The Application Engineer will be an individual who can work in fast paces, non-hierarchical culture of collaboration, transparency, safety, trust, and respect. They will focus on creating and building creative values, modernized approaches, and solutions to deliver exceptional customer journey and business results.

What You'll Do:

Coordinating with the cross functional teams to understand the reported issues, ensure its prioritized and actioned for root-cause analysis, impact analysis on other business processes and systems, and communicate to the appropriate business units for the next steps and resolutions in timely manner.

Gather requirements, design, and lead the stable, scalable solutions, and implement improved configurations, system processes, architecture, and reports.

Support internal and external training needs of the business by creating relevant documentations, assist and lead the sessions, while ensuring materials are kept up-to-date and available to all system users.

Actively engage with stakeholders to gain firsthand insights, experience into current operations and surrounding systems, and identify areas for improvements and effective gains.

Performing relevant SOX control validations surrounding processes and systems as per control-design.

Providing input and insights to support future system functionalities and development requested from various operational and commercial teams.

Identifying potential gaps in systems and related integrations, processes, and determining necessary workarounds or system changes.

Ensuring process integrity by documenting current and future business processes and reinforcing consistent adoption and execution of these processes across all relevant stakeholders.

Providing both QA and user acceptance test scenarios, participating, and guiding in testing to ensure all commercial solutions are working as expected prior to deployment to business users.

Discovering and modernizing the business processes, systems, and platforms to ensure efficient and effective seamless flow of data and experiences.

Assisting data analysts, applications engineers, developers, and other stakeholders in the determining requirements for new reports and dashboards for users of the commercial systems.

Collaborates with the technical and subject matter experts to analyze the trade-offs between usability and the performance needs of the systems.

Ensuring all data being provided to external sources from commercial systems is complete and accurate, if required, work with relevant teams to validate and mandate the data inconsistencies.

Let's Talk About You:

University Degree or equivalent in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related fields.

3-5+ years of experience as a commercial business analyst, consultant, or engineer, implementing \& supporting Order Management Solutions across various Enterprise Applications platforms.

Must have strong working experience in D365 ERP (Finance \& Ops, Retail, Supply Chain Management).

Certification such as CBAP, PMI-BAP, or accompanying certification MSFT, Azure, Cloud are also an asset.

Superior commerce technology/platform architecture knowledge pertaining to ERP integrations (APIs, Webhook, EDI, etc.).

Comprehend and compose complex SQL Queries.

Intermediate to advanced understanding and experience in commerce engine (headed and headless), business process, and unified data.

Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments.

Excellent verbal and written communications skills and presentation skills.

Ability to think innovatively, solve complex problems and present solutions in clear and compelling terms.

Working Conditions:

Hybrid: A split between remote and in-office working model
