Role: Site Reliability Engineer (Elastic-Search+ Dynatrace)

Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and optimize relational and non-relational databases for performance, scalability, and reliability.
Lead and support database migration activities, including planning, execution, and post-migration validation.
Perform query optimization, indexing strategies, and schema design improvements.
Monitor and troubleshoot database performance issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
Collaborate with SREs and DevOps teams to ensure database reliability aligns with overall system health.
Apply SRE golden rules to monitor any resources/Services
Participate in incident response and contribute to blameless post-mortems for database-related issues.
Support automation efforts to reduce manual database operations and improve efficiency.
Integrate database monitoring with tools like CloudWatch, Dynatrace, and PagerDuty for proactive alerting.
Required Skills \& Experience:
Deep expertise in database technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, DynamoDB).
Proven experience in database performance tuning and migration projects.
Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools such as
Dynatrace
,
Elastic-Search
/Kibana, CloudWatch, and PagerDuty.
Basic understanding of SRE concepts and how they apply to database reliability.
Experience with infrastructure-level troubleshooting and system resource analysis.
Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
Strong scripting skills (e.g., SQL, Python, Bash) for automation and tooling.
