The
Software Developer in Test
will be a part of the Caseware Team. Our platform that streamlines and automates many tasks that accountants, auditors and tax professionals around the world perform on a daily basis, supports the development of additional applications, add-ins and extensions to meet the needs of these professionals globally in every industry.

What you will do:
Design, implement and maintain automated test frameworks for Caseware’s web-based SaaS products
Perform and guide functional, integration, regression, and exploratory testing
Collaborate with development and product specialists to refine user stories, acceptance criteria and testability
Analyze requirements and technical designs to identify risk areas and critical test scenarios
Investigate, document and track defects with clear reproduction steps and impact analysis
Improve test coverage, test reliability, and overall QA processes
Mentor junior SDET team members
Advocate for quality best practices across the engineering organization
What you will bring:
Medior (3–5 years) experience in QA, test automation, or SDET roles
Proven experience testing complex web applications, preferably SaaS products
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a structured approach to problem-solving
Hands-on experience in test automation using modern tools and frameworks, specifically Cypress
Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
Ability to write clear, maintainable and well-structured test cases and code
Comfortable working in cross-functional, international teams
Good coordination skills, being able to drive continuous QA-awareness within the team
Good command of Dutch and English.
Nice to have:
Experience in domains such as
audit, accounting, financial reporting, or compliance
software
Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g.
GitHub Actions
) and Atlassian products such a
Jira
and
Confluence
ISTQB or other QA-related certifications
Knowledge of cloud platforms and modern web architectures
Experience contributing to test strategy or quality transformation initiatives
