CBRE Data Centre Solutions a division of Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated data centre services including advisory, projects and operations. We are recruiting a Project/BIM Engineer to support the growth of our projects business.

We are looking for a technician from an electrical or mechanical background (trade or degree qualified), with data centre experience. Some exposure to design/coordination or project work would be beneficial, and basic CAD skills are required. Full BIM training will be provided. As our projects are delivered across Europe, the candidate must be willing to travel for short periods to complete site surveys.

This role is intended for someone currently working in or familiar with whitespace environments who is interested in progressing into a BIM engineering position. The purpose of the role is to:* Be responsible for creating \& coordinating BIM models for projects under the guidance of the BIM manager.

Produce and export drawings for implementation on site.

Visit site to ensure best practice and undertake As Built surveys

Liaise and work with site teams to ensure IFC drawings are being followed

Key Responsibilities* Coordination \& Construction Issue drawings

Supporting projects with implementing 3D coordination

Working with on BIM manager to assist in any drawing related support required for projects

Writing BIM (digital) strategies and BIM execution plans (for bids and live projects).

Visit sites to validate \& check implementation of drawings by the site teams.

Support Project Managers with day to day activities on project delivery.

Train up on the use of the 3D camera under the guidance of the BIM manager.

Person Specification Skills* Present with confidence

Personable

Knowledge* Operate AutoCAD at a good level

Operate REVIT at graduate level and have desire to become proficient.

Knowledge of electrical \& mechanical systems desired. Ideal candidate will come from an electrical background.

Be proficient in computer programmes such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, MS Teams

Broad understanding of construction methods for M\&E services

Experience* College qualification only required but previous work placements would be an advantage.

Electrical Apprenticeship along with a desire to move into Engineering or Project Management would be an ideal fit.

Qualifications* Diploma Level Qualification in Building Information Modelling (BIM), Electrical Engineering or Apprenticeship

Aptitude* High degree of integrity

Motivated and self-aware

Organised with attention to detail
