Job Description: The appointee will join the Personalized Design \& Fabrication Laboratory at Centre for Perceptual and Interactive Intelligence (CPII). The laboratory is directed by professors from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK).
Research on one of the topics: AI-based human body shape capture and analysis, computational garment design, garment manipulation with robot-arms, and wearable applications
Develop maintainable software for the research
Author research papers or other technical documents
Collaborate with teammates on related projects
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's / Master’s / PhD Degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines
Proficiency in Python or C++ is a must
Experience in computer-aided design, computer graphics (geometry processing), robot simulation and control, and computer vision would be highly preferable
Familiar with 3D modelling software (such as Blender) will be an advantage
Good communication skills and problem-solving skills
Self-motivated character and good team player
Appointment will initially be made on up to two-year contract commencing as soon as possible
