From our office in the town of Frascati (Rome), CGI Italy helps scientists and entrepreneurs in processing Earth Observation data using cutting edge IT technologies to streamline big data analytics. Thanks to Space application and services we can extract information from satellite data offering solution in several domains including weather, geographical survey bringing value in different sectors like health, transportation, government, agriculture, maritime, oil and gas, trading, finance and insurance.

Your future duties and responsibilities

Manage operational tasks like containers/VM image building, update, patching etc.

Improve the deployment automation of applications and platforms

Improve performance and optimizing costs

Maintain containers/VMs templates and deployments

Provide support on CGI applications and platforms

Document operational procedures, postmortems, etc.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

Experience in the role \> 3 Years

Experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux/CentOS/Rocky Linux

Experience with shell scripting (Bash)

Network competencies (IP networking, VPNs, DNS, load balancing and firewall)

Mastery with versioning control systems (Git)

3y Experience with microservices and distributed application architecture (Kubernetes)

3y Experience with commercial cloud services and APIs (AWS, Google Cloud)

Fluency in English

This is a permanent contract position with the possibility to do part of the work activity in smart working.
