Full Stack PHP Developer

We’re looking for a Full Stack PHP Developer to join our team and grow your skills while helping us enhance the MotorDesk platform. You’ll support the development team in building new features, improving usability, and delivering great experiences for our customers. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience working across projects while being guided by experienced developers.

What you’ll do…

Assist in developing and maintaining features across the MotorDesk platform

Support the build and refinement of website modules, integrations, and core functionality

Work with PHP, SQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript under the guidance of senior developers

Learn and apply best practices for clean, efficient, and reliable code

Contribute ideas to improve performance, usability, and the overall user experience

We value your experience and broad skillset over highly-advanced and specific skills, if you can deliver functional applications, but perhaps aren’t an object-oriented expert, we want to hear from you.

You’re the perfect fit if you…

Have 3+ years’ experience in PHP development (with strong exposure to large, complex codebases)

Design and build scalable, maintainable PHP applications – both with and without frameworks

Are confident across the full stack, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, jQuery, SQL, and AWS/cloud environments

Have hands-on experience with version control (Git), and modern development workflows

Understand software architecture principles and can contribute to system design and technical decision-making

Communicate clearly, collaborate effectively, and are comfortable mentoring junior developers

Take ownership of your work, thrive in solving complex problems, and balance speed with code quality

Are detail-oriented, highly organised, and self-motivated – with the ability to lead projects from concept to completion

Bonus skills \& experience…

Passion for cars, motorbikes, or motorsport

Experience in web design, web development, or software documentation

Knowledge of the automotive or car sales industry
