Job Description

This role will suit someone looking to build their technical expertise while gaining valuable site experience in a collaborative and well-structured environment.

You’ll work closely with a highly experienced Principal Engineer, dedicated to sharing knowledge and supporting your success.

With a 9-day fortnight providing regular RDOs, you’ll enjoy a balance of professional growth and lifestyle benefits. You’ll spend three weeks each month on-site at Sonoma in the Bowen Basin, flying in at the start of the week and returning on Thursday or Friday.

While on-site, you’ll stay in comfortable camp accommodation in Collinsville, complete with meals and modern amenities. In your fourth week, you’ll work from our Brisbane head office, collaborating with both site and office teams to gain a comprehensive understanding of operations.

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to key projects while developing your skills in a company that values innovation and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive plant process checks, maintenance inspections, and audits daily, weekly, and monthly, or as required, ensuring optimal efficiency.

Collaborate with key stakeholders to manage process consumables and develop strategies to enhance plant operations and optimisation.

Provide specialised technical support focusing on improvement, maintenance, and modification.

Conduct design checks, address process issues, perform calculations, and improve plant performance.

Maintain and validate the data integrity of the metallurgical data management system.

Undertake process modelling and manage or commission small projects as required.

Compile accurate reports and update As-Built drawings and procedures.

Who are you?

Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Metallurgy, or Minerals Processing Engineering.

Adaptability to work effectively across both office and site environments.

Valid driver’s licence with the ability to independently drive to site in the future.

Proficient in MS Office Suite.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
