Job Description

Introduction

CMC Global is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Platform Engineer with deep expertise in Windows-based systems and Azure cloud infrastructure. This role involves designing and operating scalable, secure, and automated environments, supporting both legacy and modern applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust internal platforms and tools.

Job Description - Design and implement internal dashboards and APIs (REST/gRPC) using React and a modern backend stack (.NET, Node.js, or Python).

- Manage containerized workloads on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), including Docker (Windows \& Linux), Helm/Kustomize, ingress controllers, node pool configurations (taints/tolerations), and Azure Container Registry (ACR).

- Build and maintain infrastructure using Terraform (multi-environment setups, modular architecture, state management, and CI/CD integration).

- Automate system configurations with Ansible for both Windows and Linux targets, ensuring idempotency and secure secret handling.

- Engineer Windows environments in cloud contexts, including Windows Server, service packaging, MSI creation, and MSBuild.

- Design and operate CI/CD pipelines for Windows applications using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps, including runner/agent setup and artifact/versioning strategies.

- Administer SQL Server in cloud environments: backup/restore, high availability/disaster recovery (HA/DR), migration strategies, and performance tuning.

- Implement secure networking and access controls: VNETs/VPCs, private endpoints, just-in-time (JIT) access, IAM/least privilege principles, and key vault integration.

- Establish observability practices: metrics, logs, traces, OpenTelemetry integration, and actionable dashboards with alerting.

- Lead cross-functional teams with a documentation-first mindset and clear communication.

Job Requirements

- Minimum 5 years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure, DevOps, or Platform Engineering.

- Strong hands-on experience with Azure services, especially AKS, ACR, networking, and IAM.

- Proficiency in Docker for both Windows and Linux environments.

- Solid understanding of CI/CD for Windows-based applications.

- Programming experience with at least one backend language (.NET, Node.js, or Python).

- Practical experience with Terraform and Ansible is required.

- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a strong focus on documentation and collaboration.

Soft Skills

- Clear and proactive communication.

- Strong ownership and autonomy.

- Comfortable working in hybrid or remote environments.

- Able to collaborate across development, QA, and infrastructure teams.
