Collins Aerospace is looking for Principal Systems Engineer(P4) to work on systems development/verification for Traffic Surveillance products. The team has responsibilities for the product life-cycle activities from Systems and Software Verification. This team works closely with product development groups that specialize Surveillance Systems.
Primary Responsibilities:
Elicitation of System Level Requirements and breakdown from customer requirements to high/low level requirements
Technically lead a team of Systems engineers working on the complex systems in the field of Traffic Surveillance products
Verify Avionics DAL B products in CNS Domain
Develop common supporting tools necessary for the development/Verification.
Develop integration and verification strategies for avionic functions and products, create test plans, test case and procedure, execute system verification and create test reports.
Supporting certification and producing system level artifacts against industry guidelines/recommendations
You will get to work with architects and senior developers to create scalable, extensible, and sustainable solutions.
Support Drive strategic roadmap and Drive organizational development initiatives: Talent Management; Performance Management;
Key Skills Required:
Solid understanding of the systems development lifecycle (SDLC) and its implementation in complex avionics systems .
Strong proficiency with systems requirements capture from industry and internal product line source requirements using Jama.
Experience with MOPS
Ability to develop and interpret system architectures, block diagrams, interface control documents (ICDs), and system designs.
Working knowledge of avionics protocols (AFDX, ARINC 429, ARINC 615/615A, Ethernet).
Familiarity with aerospace systems and safety guidelines ARP4754A/B and ARP4761.
Certification experience (Interfacing with internal Cert office, customer cert offices, or FAA directly).
Experience with Agile development and Atlassian Suite tools, including JIRA for backlog management and Confluence for documentation.
Preferred Skills:
Working experience or knowledge of Traffic product functions Transponder, TCAS, ADS-B In and Out and Traffic applications.
Experience supporting SOI audits and certification, including preparing compliance evidence.
Familiarity with aerospace systems guidelines RTCA DO-178, DO-160, DO-254 and DO-297.
Experience in systems integration testing
Basis Qualifications:
B.Tech/M.Tech with Understanding of Avionics Systems – CNS, FMS, FCS or Displays.
Strong proficiency in Python with independent developer experience.
Solid background in Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC): (requirements, design, implementation, Validation and Verification with exposure to ARP4754A/B.
Experience with hardware–systems integration.
Hands-on with tools: DOORS, Jama, Subversion, RapiTest, Git.
10+ Years of Avionics Experience
Experience working on Agile Methodology
