Overview
The Software Engineer will design, implement, and optimize enterprise middleware environments, ensuring seamless integration between software applications, APIs, and infrastructure. This role requires deep expertise in middleware technologies, cloud platforms (AWS/OpenShift), and DevOps automation to enable high availability, scalability, and secure service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Middleware Management \& Optimization
Install, configure, and administer middleware platforms such as WebLogic, IBM WebSphere, Red Hat JBoss EAP, Apache, and IBM MQ.
Manage clustered and high-availability environments (WebLogic/JBoss/Apache) on Linux and Windows.
Perform performance tuning, capacity planning, and root cause analysis for middleware and application servers.
Ensure secure integrations with SSL/TLS, LDAP/AD authentication, and role-based access controls.

Integration \& API Management
Develop and support API integrations (REST/SOAP) using Oracle SOA Suite, BPEL, Service Bus, and related technologies.
Work with enterprise messaging tools such as IBM MQ, ActiveMQ, and Kafka for asynchronous communication between systems.

Cloud \& DevOps Enablement
Deploy, manage, and optimize middleware components on AWS Cloud and OpenShift (Kubernetes) environments.
Automate middleware provisioning and configuration using Ansible, Jenkins, and Helm.
Integrate CI/CD pipelines for application and configuration deployments across multiple environments.

Security \& Compliance
Ensure all middleware systems comply with enterprise security standards and audit requirements.
Perform hardening and vulnerability remediation for middleware and application servers.

Collaboration \& Leadership
Work closely with development, infrastructure, and database teams to ensure smooth end-to-end application delivery.
Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and review of middleware implementations.
Prepare and maintain SOPs, HA/DR documentation, and test case reports.

Qualifications \& Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
8 –17 years of hands-on experience in middleware administration, integration, and DevOps.

Proven expertise in:
WebLogic, JBoss, WebSphere, Apache, IBM MQ
Oracle SOA Suite / Service Bus / MDM
AWS, OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes
CI/CD tools: Jenkins, Git, Ansible, Terraform
Scripting: Shell, Python
Strong background in system performance tuning, clustering, and load balancing.
Familiarity with monitoring tools (Nagios, Splunk, Zabbix, Datadog).
