JOB SUMMARY:
This mid\-level position based out of the St. Louis, Missouri Office that will play a key role in security technology implementations, security design reviews, and supporting project\-based initiatives. You will collaborate with teams across the organization to integrate security into new and existing systems. This role contributes to the ongoing improvement of the organization's security infrastructure. This position reports to the Information Security Director.
Essential Functions:
Design, implement, and integrate new security technologies and solutions across cloud, on\-prem, and hybrid environments to enhance the organization’s security posture. Ensure deployments align with enterprise architecture and support business needs while meeting regulatory and security requirements.
Participate in portfolio\-driven projects by delivering technical expertise and engineering support. Collaborate with cross\-functional teams to evaluate, pilot, and implement solutions that address identified risks, improve system resilience, or meet evolving compliance mandates.
Apply security engineering principles to ensure systems and infrastructure are securely designed and configured. Conduct technical assessments, define security controls, and assist in translating risk requirements into actionable technical specifications.
Assist in evaluating and deploying security technologies (SIEM, IAM, EDR, firewalls).
Conduct security design reviews and recommend architecture improvements.
Work with DevOps and IT teams to implement secure infrastructure and application security controls.
Automate security processes and support compliance initiatives.
Contribute to security project planning and execution.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education \& Experience (Meet at least two criteria):
3\-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT, or related roles.
3\-5 years in the area of networking Infrastructure.
Security\-related certification (e.g., Security\+, GSEC) preferred.
Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science, Information Assurance or related field Preferred)
Hands\-on experience with security tools and technologies.
Understanding of cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure\-as\-code.
Scripting or automation experience (Python, PowerShell, Bash) preferred.
Technical Skills \& Competencies:
Proficiency in network and application security controls.
Experience with security technologies (SIEM, IAM, EDR, WAF, DLP).
Hands\-on experience with cloud security configurations (AWS IAM, Azure Security Center, GCP Security Command Center).
Experience in vulnerability management and risk assessments.
Knowledge of DevSecOps tools (SAST, DAST, container security).
Automation and scripting proficiency (Python, Bash, PowerShell, Terraform).
Familiarity with compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR)
Ability to conduct security architecture reviews and recommend improvements.
Experience integrating security into IT and development processes.
Effective technical communication and stakeholder collaboration.
Strong analytical skills for evaluating security risks and solutions.
Ability to automate security tasks and improve operational efficiency. Additional Responsibilities
