We’re now growing our foundational technical team in New Zealand. This is a rare opportunity to shape Concord’s product and technology from the ground up, using the latest tools and frameworks to solve interesting challenges.

Roles and responsibilities

Platform development:

Work with our product and engineering teams to evolve our platform using a modern JS stack (React, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Tailwind). You’ll tackle interesting technical challenges with real-world impact.

R\&D and AI integration:

Explore and validate use-cases for large language models (LLMs) to improve the customer experience and accelerate internal workflows. You’ll help test, optimise, and implement model-based features with an emphasis on performance, accuracy, and reliability.

Security and privacy by design:

Because we handle sensitive personal and corporate data, security is core to everything we build. You’ll help develop guardrails such as encryption at rest, data siloing, and strict controls on PII exposure - especially in the context of third-party or AI-driven systems.

Product shaping:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design workflows, automations, and product enhancements that scale across multiple jurisdictions and visa categories. You’ll have significant input into how our platform evolves as we expand globally.

Skills and experience

Experience:

5+ years in software development, ideally with exposure to complex applications, SaaS platforms, or high-growth startups.

Technical fluency:

Deep experience with modern JS frameworks (TypeScript, React, Node.js) and SQL databases. Familiarity with AI frameworks or APIs is advantageous, though a strong understanding of AI fundamentals and current limitations is essential.

You thrive on untangling complex problems and delivering elegant, straightforward solutions.

Product-obsessed:

You care about what you build - not just the code, but what the experience feels like to its end users.

Curiosity:

You’re a natural tinkerer who enjoys experimenting with new tools, frameworks, and technologies in a fast-moving space.

Strong written and verbal skills, comfortable working with diverse stakeholders - from startup founders to HR leaders and legal team.
