Cybersecurity Pre-sales Engineer to support our rapidly expanding business in the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area.
This role is suited to a technically strong professional who can effectively connect customer requirements, cybersecurity solutions, and project delivery.
You will serve as the primary technical interface for customers, engaging throughout the full lifecycle - from requirements analysis and solution design to pre-sales support and early-stage implementation.
The position requires a high degree of ownership, self-motivation, and accountability, with the ability to independently drive projects in complex customer environments while supporting sales success and ensuring solutions are delivered effectively.
Base Location: Hong Kong or Shenzhen
Candidates must hold a valid Hong Kong work visa, such as QMAS, TTPS, ASMTP, etc., or have Hong Kong permanent residency
Key Responsibilities
Act as the primary technical resource for customer engagements, providing cybersecurity pre-sales support and solution consulting in Hong Kong, Macao, and the Greater Bay Area.
Collaborate closely with the sales team to translate business and compliance requirements into practical, implementable cybersecurity solutions.
Participate in customer interactions including requirements analysis, technical presentations, solution proposals, RFP/RFQ responses, PoC testing, and solution validation.
Design and deliver High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation covering areas such as:
Network security (firewalls, IPS/IDS)
Endpoint security (EDR)
Security operations / SIEM
Cloud security (public and hybrid cloud)
OT / IoT security
Provide technical collaboration and support during PoC, pilot deployments, and early implementation phases.
Serve as a trusted security advisor by staying informed on threat landscapes, regulatory requirements, and technology trends, and providing professional recommendations.
Travel within Hong Kong, Macao, and other Greater Bay Area locations as required.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in cybersecurity-related roles; experience in pre-sales engineering, solution engineering, or technical support is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a related discipline.
Strong understanding of mainstream cybersecurity technologies, including Firewalls, EDR, NDR, SIEM, DLP, and IAM.
Familiarity with security standards and compliance frameworks, such as: ISO 27001 / ISO 27701, IEC 62443
Data protection and privacy regulations (e.g. GDPR, PDPL, and relevant Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macao regulations)
Basic knowledge of cloud security; experience with AWS, Azure, Alibaba Cloud is an advantage.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior management.
Strong ability to work independently while supporting cross-functional teams and multiple customer engagements.
Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent are a plus.
