Job Description

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Manager to take ownership of release management and governance for a major strategic initiative. This role will play a critical part in building a new cloud‑native platform on AWS, ensuring disciplined release processes, robust automation, and high‑quality delivery across environments.

Responsibilities of the Role:

Establish and enforce release governance, including packaging standards, documentation requirements, and quality controls to ensure consistent and reliable software releases.

Manage software release candidates (RCs) and design automated deployment pipelines that support frequent, stable, and predictable delivery cycles.

Collaborate closely with developers and architects to ensure platforms are built for performance, scalability, and resilience.

Develop, review, and execute test plans and strategies to validate system reliability, scalability, and performance across all environments.

Own and standardize environment configurations to ensure alignment and consistency across development, testing, staging, and production.

Automate environment provisioning to ensure setups are reproducible, reliable, and highly available.

Promote best practices across DevOps, CI/CD, automation, monitoring, and continuous improvement within the engineering organization.

Required Skills \& Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Scrum Master certification is an advantage.

8+ years of experience spanning the full software design, development, and release lifecycle.

5+ years of hands‑on experience managing CI/CD pipelines and complex environment setups.

Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Lean methodologies, with proven success scaling agile practices in large enterprise environments.

Practical experience with continuous integration and delivery, including service virtualization, automated testing, and quality automation.

Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.

Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible or Chef.

Familiarity with enterprise deployment tools such as IBM UrbanCode.

Experience implementing or working with APM monitoring solutions (advantage).

Experience integrating with enterprise logging platforms (e.g., ELK Stack) (advantage).

Background in deploying and managing systems in enterprise cloud environments (preferred).
