What We Are Looking For
We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Developer II with strong scripting and system-administration experience to support the automation and lifecycle management of Corelation’s patching, upgrade, and system-maintenance tools. This position focuses on designing, building, and maintaining scripts and automated processes used by internal teams—and by clients—to upgrade, patch, and maintain RHEL-based environments and related third-party software components. The DevOps Developer II works collaboratively across Development, Hardware Services, and Client Support teams to build reliable and efficient processes for patching, upgrades, and system transitions (including RHEL, Db2, Java, Tomcat, Jaspersoft, OpenSSH/OpenSSL, and other dependencies). While not solely responsible for the patch lifecycle, this role is a key contributor in evaluating vendor updates, developing automation for internal and client use, and maintaining Corelation’s internal test systems. The developer may also contribute to new projects requiring custom scripts or automation solutions to improve system monitoring, deployment, or operational efficiency. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on problem-solving, automation, and developing tools that improve reliability, security, and consistency across client and internal environments. If you are a dedicated and technically proficient individual with a passion for security updates, patch automation, and process development, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
Requirements:
Work with Senior Systems Engineers to develop shell scripts to create and/or modify scripts for patches for clients.
Monitor software patch releases and security bulletins to identify vulnerabilities and required patches for internal and external software.
Download, evaluate, test, and package partner upgrade and installation patches for clients. Collaborate with the development team to test patches and software updates and ensure they are compatible with existing systems.
Develop and maintain documentation related to patch and release management processes, procedures, and policies.
Maintain historical records by documenting patch and release development and revisions.
Work with clients to ensure patching schedules are established and followed.
Provide technical support and guidance to clients on patch management related issues.
Evaluate and recommend process improvements to the software management and release cycle
Assist in the development of CI/CD process improvements.
