Intermediate DevOps Engineer

to join our team where your contributions will have a real impact on worker safety and platform reliability. You'll collaborate with talented teammates, work with modern infrastructure-as-code and cloud technologies, and help shape the future of our core platform's deployment and operational excellence.

This hybrid/remote role is open to candidates anywhere in Canada, it offers the flexibility to work both remotely and from our office in Kanata, ON. If you're looking for meaningful work, continuous learning, and flexibility to balance life and career — we'd love to meet you!

WHAT YOU WILL DO

You will be part of a collaborative team consisting of developers, quality analysts, and product managers, focusing on the design, implementation, and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines. Your responsibilities will include:

Building and managing scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure using AWS services and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.

Developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions) to automate software delivery.

Implementing and managing container orchestration platforms (AWS EKS/ECS) and serverless architectures.

Collaborating with development teams to optimize application performance, monitor systems, and troubleshoot production issues.

Enhancing monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure high availability and quick incident response.

Contributing to technical documentation and promoting DevOps best practices across the organization.

WHAT YOU BRING

University degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Computer Studies, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

3+ years of experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Software Developer, or similar role.

Proficiency in managing and deploying resources within AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, etc.).

Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, specifically AWS CloudFormation or AWS CDK.

Strong understanding of containerization (Docker) and orchestration technologies like Kubernetes (AWS EKS) or AWS ECS.

Experience implementing and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI/CD or GitHub Actions).

Experience with serverless development and architecture.

Proficiency in scripting and application development languages such as TypeScript, NodeJS, or Python.

Familiarity with database technologies, including MongoDB and AWS DynamoDB.

Solid understanding of networking concepts, security principles, and application development fundamentals.

Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail with a curious and quality-oriented mindset.

Experience with AI development tools or services (e.g., Cursor, MCP servers).

Experience working in a technology startup would be an asset.

Experience with mobile deployment pipelines (iOS/Android) would be an asset.

Knowledge of construction industry workflows or related applications would be an asset.

COMPENSATION

Salary Range

- $80,000 - $110,000 per year
