Now, the fabled Grand Hotel Astoria will re-emerge as Corinthia Brussels later in 2024, a beacon of elegance and luxury in the heart of the Belgian capital.

Following a meticulous restoration, Corinthia Brussels will marry the classical elegance of its storied past with sophisticated modern facilities including 126 rooms and suites, a gastronomic restaurant and brasserie, and 1000 square metres of wellness. Catering to discerning locals and luxury travellers, Corinthia Brussels will harmonise heritage with an avant-garde attitude.

Under the supervision of the Purchasing Manager, the Assistant Purchasing Manager contributes to the efficient management of the hotel’s procurement process. He/she ensures that all products and services required for hotel operations (accommodation, food \& beverage, maintenance, housekeeping, etc.) are purchased under the best possible conditions of quality, cost, and timing, while complying with Corinthia Group standards and internal procedures.

MISSIONS \& RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Procurement Management* Participate in identifying product and service needs for various departments.

Prepare, issue, and follow up on requests for quotations and tenders.

Assist in negotiations with suppliers regarding price, quality, delivery times, and payment terms.

Create purchase orders in the hotel’s procurement software.

Verify the conformity of deliveries and resolve discrepancies with suppliers.

Maintain and update the approved supplier database.

2. Administrative and Financial Follow-up* Check and validate invoices in coordination with the accounting department.

Monitor purchasing budgets and assist in preparing monthly reports.

Ensure compliance with internal policies and Corinthia Group audit procedures.

3. Quality \& Sustainability* Contribute to the implementation of a sustainable and responsible purchasing policy (local products, eco-friendly items, certifications, etc.).

Ensure that purchased products comply with the Corinthia Grand Hotel Astoria quality standards.

4. Operational Support* Work closely with the Kitchen, Housekeeping, F\&B, Engineering, and Front Office departments to anticipate needs.

Monitor critical stock levels and ensure the availability of key products.

Replace the Purchasing Manager in his/her absence when required.

PROFILE REQUIRED

Excellent knowledge of purchasing processes and supply chain management.

Good understanding of the luxury hospitality industry.

Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.

Analytical mindset, precision, and attention to detail.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and ERP/PMS systems (Oracle, BirchStreet, or equivalent).

Strong sense of service, integrity, and confidentiality.
