About the Role

Ready to innovate and make a significant impact in Insurtech? As a Senior Software Engineer on our team, you'll be at the forefront of developing and maintaining dynamic, high-performing web applications.

This role is all about building scalable solutions and ensuring seamless user experiences across our B2C platform rentalcover.com. You'll collaborate closely with our talented designers and product managers, turning visionary ideas into tangible, impactful products, and actively exploring emerging tools and AI to enhance our capabilities.

You'll be responsible for end-to-end feature development, user experience improvements, performance optimization, code reviews, automated testing and API integrations.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop software solutions. You'll work on business problems from start to finish, from requirements analysis and planning to designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining and troubleshooting features in production.

Build and launch new features. You'll create and deploy reusable functionalities to help our platforms grow and evolve, always seeking innovative approaches.

Collaborate closely with the team. You'll partner with other engineers, designers and product managers to ensure features and initiatives are delivered efficiently and on time, fostering a culture of shared success.

Champion best practices. You'll lead by example in writing clean code, thorough testing, clear documentation, effective code reviewing, and maintaining strong security.

Maintain code quality and drive innovation. You'll regularly improve our existing codebase, finding ways to make it better and more efficient across the entire stack (UI, UX, APIs and infrastructure) while continuously identifying opportunities to integrate new technologies and AI tools.

Actively contribute to a culture of innovation, continuous learning and collaborative problem-solving by mentoring other engineers and sharing knowledge.

Skills \& Experience:

What you will bring

Bachelor or Masters degree in Computer Science or Engineering with at least 5 years of professional software engineering experience

Deep understanding of React.js core principles and proven experience building high-performance UIs..

Proven backend experience in at least one of the technologies PHP (Laravel), Node.js (Nest), Python including solid knowledge of database technologies such as postgres or mysql.

Strong understanding of software design principles patterns \& APIs with practical experience implementing high-performance distributed systems

Experience with modern software development practices including CI/CD pipelines, test automation, code quality tools. Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), managing workloads in Kubernetes.
