Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Mobile Application Developer to support the development of a complex enterprise mobile application within a large public-sector technology environment.
The selected consultant will collaborate with team leads, developers, analysts, and project managers to analyze requirements, design application functionality, and deliver high-quality mobile solutions that meet business and technical standards.
This role requires strong experience with .NET, C#, Xamarin, and modern mobile development frameworks, along with the ability to work in Agile project teams while maintaining high standards for quality, accessibility, and application performance.
Key ResponsibilitiesMobile Application Development
Design and develop enterprise mobile applications using .NET, C#, Xamarin, and MAUI
Build scalable and maintainable application features aligned with project requirements
Implement application layout, navigation, and functionality across mobile platforms
Requirements Analysis \& Solution Design
Review and interpret technical and functional system requirements
Translate business requirements into well-structured application components
Collaborate with developers, analysts, and project stakeholders to refine features and enhancements
Testing \& Quality Assurance
Perform developer testing and validation for newly developed features
Debug and resolve application defects and reported issues
Ensure applications meet accessibility standards and usability guidelines
Integration \& Data Access
Develop integrations with RESTful APIs and service endpoints
Write SQL queries to support application data interactions with relational databases
Development Lifecycle \& Collaboration
Participate in Agile development cycles, including sprint planning, development, and reviews
Maintain code using Git-based version control systems
Work collaboratively within a cross-functional project team environment
Required Qualifications
7+ years of experience in application development
Strong experience with:
.NET and C#
Xamarin mobile development
Knowledge of .NET MAUI
Experience developing applications in Agile environments
Experience designing application layouts and functionality
Strong debugging and troubleshooting experience
Experience consuming RESTful APIs
Experience using Git or GitLab version control
Experience writing SQL queries in relational databases
Experience working within collaborative development teams
Preferred Qualifications
Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience working in complex enterprise or government environments
Strong understanding of accessibility and application usability standards
Work Environment
This position supports the development of enterprise mobile applications used by a large operational organization. The role requires collaboration across technical teams while ensuring solutions meet reliability, usability, and security expectations.
The position operates in a hybrid environment based in Austin, Texas, with a combination of onsite and remote work.
Pay: $65.00 - $75.00 per hour
