Crusoe's mission is to accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence. Weâre crafting the engine that powers a world where people can create ambitiously with AI â without sacrificing scale, speed, or sustainability.
Be a part of the AI revolution with sustainable technology at Crusoe. Here, you'll drive meaningful innovation, make a tangible impact, and join a team thatâs setting the pace for responsible, transformative cloud infrastructure.
About This Role:
At Crusoe, our Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team plays a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our infrastructure. In Dublin, we have SRE teams that support Storage, Compute, Software Defined Networking and our hardware fleet.
We are dedicated to detecting, analyzing, and preventing customer-impacting issues, in our own-built data centers, and our custom infrastructure stack. This is a âlow-levelâ SRE role, as reliability issues may stem from hardware or firmware bugs that need to be reported to our hardware vendors. Stability or performance issues may require a familiarity with the Linux kernel source, including third-party modules provided by hardware vendors. SREs are expected to contribute to the codebase of the Crusoe orchestration stack, which is mostly written in Go.
We are deeply embedded in Crusoeâs âNew Production Introductionâ process, where we take cutting edge networking and AI hardware, integrate them into our infrastructure, and provide them to our customers before anyone else in the industry. Answers to our problems are rarely on the Internet, and our customers expect that we will fix problems, whatever the cause, promptly.
Like any SRE role, we use SLOs, Post-Mortems, and design reviews to prevent and surface errors as early as possible. More than most SRE roles, we value velocity over perfection; the AI industry moves very fast, and being first-to-market is critical.
What Youâll Be Working On:
As a
Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Crusoe
, youâll play a key role in ensuring the performance, reliability, and scalability of our infrastructure. While some of your day may involve reviewing alerts or customer-reported issues, most of your time will be spent on impactful project work with our software engineering team.
Youâll work on projects such as commissioning new data centers, automating and qualifying hardware platforms, and benchmarking components and full systems. You may also step in on escalations, solving everything from kernel bugs to customer configuration issues, always with a focus on delivering an exceptional experience to our customers.
Our SREs work across the stack, from our VM scheduler and NVMe-over-TCP storage system to our Open vSwitch-based software-defined network, continuously improving observability, OS images, and production reliability.
Collaboration is central to this role: youâll partner closely with global engineering teams, Customer Success, and business development on new opportunities and hardware partnerships. At Crusoe, our SREs donât just keep the lights on, theyâre a critical part of how we go the extra mile for our customers.
