About the Role
As a Data Engineer, you would be responsible for assisting the team in overseeing data pipelines, databases, and tooling. This is an ideal position for a recent graduate who is looking to gain work experience in an international and dynamic environment. Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and optimise data pipelines and workflows
Build and maintain data infrastructure, including databases and ETL processes
Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and availability for internal use
Support the team in data analysis and visualisation
Automate data processing tasks and create tools for data-driven decision-making
Collaborate with various departments to fulfill data requirements and deliver data-driven insights
Handle various day-to-day data engineering tasks
Requirements:
Degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or similar quantitative studies)
0-4 year of relevant work experience in data engineering or related fields
Strong programming skills in Python and experience with SQL
Experience with data pipeline tools, cloud platforms and data warehouse solutions is a plus
Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes, data integration, and automation of data workflows
Experience with distributed systems and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is an advantage
Comfortable working with version control systems (e.g., Git)
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with large datasets efficiently
Excellent attention to detail and ability to ensure data accuracy and integrity
Structured, organized, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
A flexible mindset and eagerness to learn new technologies
Good written and verbal communication skills in English
