We are currently hiring for an exciting opportunity as an Intern (m/f/d) – Software Engineer Computational Geometry to join our team.
Join the 3DMODSIM Technology Department as a Software Engineer Intern and become part of a highly specialized team working in the field of computational geometry. This internship offers deep technical exposure, combining geometry, mathematics, and software engineering to enable fully automated design and simulation workflows for engineers worldwide.
Role Description \& Responsibilities
You will develop geometric and mathematical operators (e.g. offsetting, volume partitioning, topological operations) on high-quality surfaces and volumes
You will contribute to CATIA-focused development enabling automated workflows from geometric design creation to simulation validation
You will analyze existing mathematical operators, identify limitations, and propose technical enhancements
You will define, implement, and validate new proofs of concept in collaboration with senior engineers
You will write clean, efficient, and well-documented code while improving software quality and robustness
You will collaborate with international, cross-functional teams (Germany \& France) and perform functional and regression testing to ensure reliable solutions
Qualifications
You are currently studying Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related technical field (Bachelor or Master) -\> Prior coursework or exposure to Computational Geometry is highly preferred
You have strong programming skills in at least one major language, preferably C++
You have solid understanding of geometric concepts such as curves, surfaces, filleting, and Boolean operations
You have knowledge of geometric topology and numerical robustness challenges
You are fluent in English
