Help us to maintain, support and upgrade our existing Laravel Applications for our womenswear fashion business. We are small and friendly manufacturer, building many of our IT solutions in house, looking for a talented PHP Solutions Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PHP development, with experience in Laravel being highly desirable. A working knowledge of Python would also be useful. This role offers flexibility with remote working, although occasional attendance at our office may be required.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain, support and enhance PHP-based applications.
Work with Laravel and, ideally, Laravel Nova to enhance scalable and efficient solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement new features.
Troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure optimal performance.
Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging technologies.
Identify opportunities for enhancements and improvements in existing applications, refining functionality and performance to meet evolving business requirements.
Ensure seamless integration and scalability of applications, keeping in mind future growth and technological advancements.
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
Required Skills \& Experience:
Strong knowledge of PHP frameworks
Experience with Laravel essential
Proficiency in MySQL or other relational databases.
Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Understanding of RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.
Experience with version control systems
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Skills:
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Magento, or similar).
Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Understanding of security best practices in web development and familiarity with PCI compliance.
