About the Role
Weâre looking for a System Engineer (Graduate / Entry Level) to join our growing team in Hobart.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent IT graduate or someone looking to start their professional career in the IT industry. Youâll work under guidance from experienced engineers and contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of our systems and applications.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software components (back-end, front-end, APIs, microservices).
Contribute to system architecture, integration, scalability, security, and reliability improvements.
Troubleshoot technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions.
Participate in peer code reviews, documentation, and team knowledge sharing.
Work closely with stakeholders to interpret requirements, propose system solutions, and refine features.
Assist with automation, deployment pipelines, versioning, and infrastructure as code.
What Weâre Looking For
Strong foundational knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
Experience with one or more back-end languages ( Python, Java, C#, .NET, or similar).
Understanding of cloud platforms, APIs, databases.
Awareness of SEO best practices and web performance optimisation.
University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent qualification).
Demonstrated problem-solving and attention to code quality/performance.
Good communication skills and willingness to learn.
Knowledge of AI Agents or Big Data concepts will be considered an advantage.
