The Team
This is a rare opportunity to join a well-funded, stealth-mode technology company at its inception. Backed by a founding team with a proven track record, whose previous companies have been collectively acquired for billions, they are building a disruptive, innovative product from the ground up. As an early member of this small, hands-on team, you will be part of a complete greenfield opportunity, shaping the product roadmap from day one.
What you’ll do:
Design and implement scalable, high-performance backend infrastructure, services, and APIs.
Build and maintain cloud infrastructure using modern tools like Docker, AWS (including S3 and IoT), and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., CDK, Terraform).
Work across a variety of data stores and services, including relational databases (PostgreSQL), NoSQL (DynamoDB), and search (OpenSearch).
Develop event-driven architectures, manage third-party API integrations, and implement real-time features with WebSockets.
Collaborate closely with product designers and senior engineers to define, own, and deliver new features against tight milestones.
Optimize code for performance, scalability, and maintainability, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
What you’ll bring:
Circa 2 years of commercial or equivalent experience building and maintaining backend services and infrastructure for cloud-driven SaaS products.
Familiarity with modern backend languages such as Go, Python, Java, C++, or Rust (a specific language is not required).
A solid academic background (e.g., Computer Science or STEM) or a clear, demonstrated passion for software development and technology.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Full-stack experience (e.g., React, Vue) is a plus, but not required.
