Job Summary

Seeking a senior Systems Engineer to join an exciting mission centered around providing visualization and presentation services for the prototyping, development, and production of analytic tools

The team is responsible for reverse engineering 40 databases to create a universal model database so that data can be sorted, found, and analyzed efficiently

This role is key to the successful migration of business data from legacy systems to a new platform

Primary Responsibilities

Analyze user needs and system requirements to develop functional and technical specifications

Participate in system trade studies, feasibility analyses, and technology evaluations

Elicit, document, and refine system and functional requirements

Ensure requirements traceability from definition through testing and validation

Coordinate with stakeholders to verify requirements meet mission and operational needs

Assist in creating and executing system test plans, procedures, and acceptance criteria

Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system defects and performance issues

Collaborate with developers, analysts, program managers, and customer stakeholders

Participate in technical reviews, design meetings, and engineering working groups

Provide engineering support for system upgrades, enhancements, and sustainment activities

Develop and maintain engineering documentation such as Interface Control Documents (ICDs), system specifications, and configuration management artifacts

Ensure system designs comply with applicable technical, security, and operational standards (e.g., DoD, RMF, STIGs)

Support audits, technical evaluations, and readiness reviews

Required Qualifications

Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (with Maryland customer)

20 Years' experience with Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering (or related field) or 25 years without the degree

Experience with database design and modeling

Experience utilizing SQL within relational database systems (e.g., Oracle, Postgres)

Experience reverse engineering systems in both front-end and back-end capacities

Experience with data analysis and visualization, data normalization and cleansing, and data security

Desired Qualifications

Experience with Oracle

Knowledge of existing BM\&A systems

Exempt hourly position. 11 paid holidays, minimum of 3 weeks PTO, company sponsored group medical plan, company paid dental, vision, life insurance, and STD/LTD plans. Salary is dependent upon the candidate's experience and qualifications.

The pay range for this role is:
