Job Description
We are looking for a
Senior Backend and DevOps Engineer
to design, build, and maintain high-performance backend systems while ensuring infrastructure stability and scalability. You will work closely with a
UK-based team
in a high-transaction production environment.
Responsibilities
Set up SLOs, monitoring, and system stability practices.
Optimize backend systems for performance, scalability, and fault tolerance.
Monitor system health and proactively resolve issues.
Provide on-call support and handle production incidents.
Analyze logs, monitoring data, and error reports.
Collaborate with teams to maintain automated CI/CD pipelines.
Improve system uptime, scalability, and performance.
Maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
Document system changes and incident resolutions.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in Backend or DevOps roles.
Experience with Supabase, Firebase, or similar backend platforms.
Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Experience with queue systems (GCP Pub/Sub, GCP Cloud Tasks).
Strong database optimization skills (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.).
Hands-on experience with CircleCI and GitHub.
Strong TypeScript and JavaScript optimization skills.
Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
