We are currently recruiting for a Senior Java Developer / Consultant (w/m/d) at a leading Java-focused software development company.
In this position, you will be a Senior Java Developer/Consultant passionate about the Java ecosystem, committed to continuous learning, and treating software development as an evolving craft. You will work closely with customers and like-minded colleagues, share knowledge internally and externally, and help build high-quality software in a culture centered on learning, collaboration, and enjoyment.
We are looking for a developer with at least 4+ years of experience in Java and Spring, complemented by solid front-end skills in JavaScript (preferably Angular). Ideally, you also bring experience with modern JVM frameworks, DevOps and CI/CD, cloud and container platforms, event-driven architectures, databases. Furthermore, good English and German skills (both at least B2 level) are required.
\| WHAT YOU WILL DO
Conceive and build robust Java-based software solutions for diverse client needs.
Partner effectively with clients to understand requirements and implement customized solutions.
Contribute to knowledge exchange and foster expertise within the team and wider community.
Deploy contemporary Java and Spring framework architectures.
Establish and oversee continuous integration/delivery pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
Utilize cloud and container technologies, including AWS/GCP, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Participate in the conceptualization and deployment of event-driven systems.
Drive personal skill enhancement and proactively integrate emerging technologies.
\| WHOM WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Minimum of 4 years of professional background in Java and Spring.
Proficiency in front-end development using JavaScript (Angular preferred).
Preferably, familiarity with modern JVM frameworks (e.g., Spring, Quarkus), DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud platforms (AWS / GCP, Docker, Kubernetes).
Understanding of event-driven architectures, as well as relational and NoSQL databases.
Strong command of German and English (B2 level minimum for both).
\| REMOTE WORK POLICY
In this role, you can work flexibly hybrid remote (3-4 days remote/ week) from the office in Vienna. Should you need to relocate or travel for this role, your relocation or travel expenses will, of course, be covered.
