What You'll Do
Design, build and maintain the enterprise security data platform - including data ingestion, underlying data pipelines and architectures, visualization/ monitoring to embedding into processes with stake-holders to ensure timely intervention. You’ll define data contracts and quality SLAs, automate lineage/privacy/access controls, support surge analytics, and continually improve reliability, performance, and cost.
This position is an individual contributor reporting to the Director, Platform Security.
Responsibility
Architect unified data models (assets, identities, findings, events); maintain metric catalog \& semantic layer
Build/operate ETL + streaming pipelines; enforce data-quality monitoring, SLAs and lineage
Define data contracts, versioning, and schema evolution policies; automate tests
Implement privacy/access/retention controls; produce audit-ready evidence
Publish curated marts for posture, exposure, incident, and SDLC analytics
Instrument pipeline observability (freshness, failure budgets); handle on-call/runbooks
Deliver self-serve dashboards; resolve metric disputes with source-of-truth logic
Optimize cost/performance; recommend build-vs-buy; plan upgrades/re-platforming
Partner with AppSec, Platform, Exposure, SOC/Risk, and PSIRT on analytics use cases
Support surge/crisis analytics (major CVEs/incidents); deliver T0 closure reporting
Tools \& Ops: operate warehouses/queues to SLOs; backups/DR; access reviews; capacity \& cost stewardship; vendor escalations with audit-ready logs.
Delivers end-to-end data products with documented SLAs; improves data quality and freshness
Leads a domain (e.g., posture mart); mentors juniors; develops playbooks and data contracts
Job Designation
Hybrid:
Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What You Bring
Basic
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field
8+ years of industry experience, with a strong focus on data engineering and large-scale data systems
Proficient in SQL and Python; proven ability to build and maintain production-grade ETL and streaming data pipelines, as well as APIs
Experience with dimensional and data vault modeling plus streaming technology
Strong background in data governance, including lineage and metadata management and implementation of privacy, access, and retention controls
Demonstrated experience with dashboarding and semantic layer tools
Skilled in defining and maintaining SLOs, monitoring and alerting, and conducting root cause analyses for data systems
Excellent communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with engineering teams and executives, and resolve metric disputes using evidence-based approaches
Preferred
Relevant experience in cybersecurity
Familiarity with security metrics and tools across the SDLC.
Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, MITRE ATTCK).
Hands-on work with cloud security tools and best practices.
Knowledge of regulatory compliance for security data (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, AWS Security).
