About the Role
The Maintenance Planner plays a vital role in supporting the Castlemaine siteâs reliability program. Youâll plan all maintenance preventative and corrective work for internal and external resources , ensuring labour, parts, and time are coordinated to deliver safe, efficient and reliable outcomes.
Working closely with trades, managers, and contractors, youâll issue weekly work order lists and schedules, chair planning meetings, maintain CMMS data integrity, and provide regular KPI reporting to support maintenance performance.
Responsibilities
Plan and work with site scheduler to deliver daily, weekly, and annual maintenance work.
Prepare work packs with parts, resources, and timelines.
Issue review and approve weekly schedules and chair backlog/production planning meetings.
Maintain accuracy of CMMS (MEX) data and asset records.
Organise contractors and suppliers for planned works.
Provide weekly KPI reporting on backlog and schedule attainment.
Support maintenance document control, filing, and compliance activities.
Collaborate with trades, engineers, and stores to ensure reliability strategy is delivered.

About You
You are a detail-oriented planner with:
Experience in maintenance planning or reliability support, ideally in food/FMCG manufacturing.
Strong systems skills, with CMMS (MEX/SAP) and MS Excel expertise.
Mechanical and/or electrical aptitude to understand parts and work requirements.
High attention to detail, organisation, and scheduling discipline.
Excellent interpersonal skills to work with trades, managers and suppliers.
A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong customer service mindset.
