Job Summary
Design, develop, and implement software and automation solutions to streamline dental practice operations. Develop and maintain custom software integrations with practice management systems, including Open Dental. Automate workflows related to scheduling, patient communications, insurance claims processing, billing, and reporting. Build and maintain databases, REST APIs, and backend services. Analyze system requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions. Troubleshoot, test, and enhance automation tools and software systems. Ensure compliance with data privacy and security standards, including HIPAA. Document software designs, workflows, and technical processes. Provide ongoing technical support and system improvements as needed.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field and 24 months of experience in Software Development or Automation Engineering.
Required Skills
Python or Java; SQL; REST APIs; Selenium, UiPath, or Automation Anywhere; experience with Open Dental or similar EHR/EMR systems.
Wage
$88,088 per year
