DropaCode is supporting NTT DATA in the search for an experienced Data Platform Engineer to join their team on-site in Geneva, Switzerland for a major project with a leading global financial institution.

Role Overview
The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust data platforms that enable the secure and efficient processing, storage, and analysis of large-scale financial data. You will work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions that support business intelligence, advanced analytics, and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
· Design \& Development: Develop, deploy, and maintain scalable, reliable, and high-performance data platforms using modern technologies and tools.
· Data Infrastructure Management: Oversee the architecture and management of data lakes, data warehouses, and cloud-based data storage solutions.
· ETL Pipelines: Build and optimize end-to-end data pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and storage, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility.
· Collaboration: Work closely with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and design effective solutions.
· Data Security \& Compliance: Ensure data platforms comply with industry regulations, including GDPR and Basel III, and other relevant standards.
· Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of data infrastructure and pipelines.
· Troubleshooting \& Support: Provide technical support for data-related issues, ensuring fast resolution and minimal business disruption.
· Innovation \& Research: Stay current with industry trends, tools, and technologies to improve the data platform.
Required Skills \& Qualifications
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
· 8+ years of proven experience building and maintaining data platforms (preferably in banking or financial services).
· Strong knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and platforms such as AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Snowflake.
· Expertise in data modeling, database design, and storage optimization.
· Strong proficiency in ETL frameworks and tools (e.g., Apache Kafka, Apache Airflow, Talend).
· Programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala.
· Experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
· Solid understanding of data security, privacy, and compliance requirements in the banking sector.
· Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach.
· Strong communication and collaboration skills.
· Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with machine learning or AI-driven data projects.
· Familiarity with data governance frameworks and practices.
· Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer).
